At our house, you get to choose your birthday dessert. Except for today, that is. It's my dear husband's birthday and although he didn't choose the dessert, he'll definitely love the Toasted Pecan Butter Cookies we made him. He's mentioned how good they were several times since I first made them (which is surprising because he'll admit he's very particular when it comes to food), so I thought I'd surprise him with a batch for his birthday.
